Certain photographs I take make me realise why I pick up a camera in the first
place. I started using film cameras because the digital world was getting me
down... In saying that - I am so grateful for the amount of options available and
resources I can use, to create what I want and to be able to share it
with those around me. It just became overwhelming for me.
Using film has offered me some restrictions and
constraints, allowing me to acknowledge how lucky I am to take the time to know
what I love and love what I do.
I take photos because I love it. It makes me feel good
and it's something I can do for myself - but now, I can do it for others. I
celebrate the people I love with photographs and try to capture how they are in
that moment and how I view them. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it
doesn't.
I don't know what film it was, because someone gave it
to me and I forgot to check.
