New Zealand | Food Heaven

On Saturday, Bella and I went to the Winter Festival Market and a quaint little place called Arrowtown.

It was snowing and a very cold day and I was basically frozen - seven layers isn't enough it seems. Even so the Market was truly amazing with fresh meats and game, cheeses, vegetables, pastries and home made organic products like biscuits, seeds and teas.

There was a food stand, Posh Porridge, that really stood out an as a ardent breakfast-lover I couldn't resist. They served freshly made porridge with your choice of toppings. Bella and I chose the Raspberry compote, white chocolate and crumble with added organic yogurt, milk and fresh honey. It was insanely delicious.

Another thing I have noticed is the array of 'fudge' shops in the districts - and all the fudge is made available for tasting, so you can try every flavour and they won't stop you. The generosity is humbling.
