PROTEIN BALLS AND OAT BARS

With the second semester of University starting, I decided to do something quite extraordinary (for me that is) and bake! I spend my money on an amazing array of food from many cultures at the plethora of take-away and restaurants close to Uni. As a healthy alternative and to save money I decided on baking my own (with some help of course) 'good for you' snacks - saving money and staying healthy.

I did also make some cookies, but did in fact burn them... so unfortunately, they wont be featured.

A TASTE OF FITZROY

As I live in Melbourne, I have lots of places I love to go to - and often.

Fitzroy would have to be one of my favourites. There is a huge array of things to see and do - shopping and eating on the most part. On a nice winters day my friend Jen and I went for lunch at one of my most favourite spots - PIADINA (Gertrude St, Fitzroy). I can't even begin to tell you how spectacular these are... My favourite is the Chicken Piadina - chicken, spinach, avocado and bacon is one of the best combo's around.

There is also a huge assortment of restaurants and bars - as you can tell from the hanging ducks (peking duck).
Has anyone been to any nice restaurants along Brunswick St that you could recommend? As I am a little unoriginal with restaurants because I stick to my favourites.

We also searched the many vintage shops along Brunswick St - you can find some amazing leathers, furs, boots, florals and lace pieces. I love this street because it supports the second hand treasures and new and upcoming designers - furniture and interior, clothes, pottery and jewellery. But it also features some of my favourite brands like Gorman, FatNique and Saxony

I highly recommend this area if you like individualistic and unique things.

DAYTIME MAKE-UP LOOK

When you're a child you dream of growing up - you can't wait to put make-up on and you can't wait to dress up in elegant pieces of clothing that make you look 'womanly'. Perhaps this is a phase, but these are things I still like to do. Although, I wouldn't call myself a child, but whose to say otherwise?

One of my close friends Sarah came over and we felt like being children again - we did each other's make up and we dressed up in elegant clothes (well sort of elegant...). Recently Sarah has found a new love for make-up and was excited to do mine, we named this her 'daytime make-up'. We also attempted a 'night time' make-up, but we just found ourselves putting black lipstick on each other and creating more of a gothic look - rather than elegant.
