COCO CHOCOLATE 

KOMBUCHA 

SYDNEY. 

I have moved to Sydney for a little while. 

I am blown away by the landmarks. I am also blown away at how incredibly easy it is to get lost. I have been here four day's and have found myself getting lost every time I leave the house. 

I am working here in Sydney, and started on Monday. I haven't had a chance to find my feet or my bearings - but finding different ways to get places is exciting. Catching a ferry in the morning and seeing the Harbour Bridge and all the houses is an incredible experience. 

Although in this short amount of time, I have found two places that I really love - 

Kitchen By Mike and Coco Chocolate. 

If you have a chance, try the Ginger and Rose Milk chocolate at Coco Chocolate - and a homemade hot chocolate. The people are lovely and the chocolate is amazing. Obviously. 

KOMBUCHA 

The woman I am living with, Robyn (who is an incredible and enlightening woman), showed me how to make her Homemade Kombucha. This is a weekly ritual and is always done on a Sunday. It was so interesting to see the process. Kombucha also taste amazing - Robyn's does anyway. Can't say that I have tried any other.

ROCK POOLS

The Rock pools. 

My friend Maeve and I went snorkelling and the water was incredible. At one point while we were swimming, Maeve called me over to show me something and I  came over excited - until I realised that is was a Pufferfish. Now for some reason… I have an intense fear of Pufferfish. I don't know where this dates back, but its a fear - and I know this with how I reacted. It was a panic and I needed to grab onto something, anything, and the closest thing was Maeve. Poor Maeve. But, seeing as though Maeve had a similar reaction every time seaweed touched her legs, I found this to be okay. We swam in shallow rock pools with a lot of seaweed - so this was a regular occurrence.

I met my friends Maeve and Sarah at the beach.
We went to two beaches, my childhood beach, and the Sorento back beach.

Well isn't that exciting? I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a brilliant New Years. 

People say that the first few minutes of the New Year defines what the rest of the year will be like - and if thats so, I hope you welcomed it with a smile. If the first minutes of the year weren't too great, well, you shouldn't always believe what you hear. Either way, there is always something fresh about those first few minutes. 

These are some of the things I have seen the last couple of weeks. I have really been enjoying the simple things. I am really excited to continue my blog in this new year! Speak soon.

SCANDINAVIAN CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

Every year the Swedish Church in Toorak (Melbourne, Victoria) holds a Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar over a weekend in December and I made sure this year I didn't miss it. 

People of all ages came to enjoy the markets, live music, fresh cultural dishes (including Norwegian waffles) while gaining a glimpse into this beautiful culture. There was such a large sense of christmas community spirit. I felt instantly welcomed and accepted to be able to enjoy what they had on offer. The atmosphere was alive and warming.

 Of course I didn't leave empty handed... 

Thank-you very much for having me! I had a lovely time and I can't wait to see you next year!
